Programs Overview:

Our Nation Student Housing is developing a structured housing model designed to support Indigenous post-secondary students relocating to Calgary. Our approach integrates housing stability with coordinated supports and community connection.

Housing Model (Planned):

  • Shared accommodation units in Calgary

  • Affordable rent aligned with student funding levels

  • Defined occupancy agreements and community standards

  • Structured intake and screening process

  • Length of stay aligned with academic terms

Wraparound Supports:

ONSH operates as a housing-based coordination model. We connect residents to existing services rather than duplicating them.

Support areas include:

  • Academic referrals and tutoring connections

  • Financial literacy and budgeting support

  • Cultural mentorship and community engagement

  • Life skills and transition support

  • Peer connection and shared accountability

Scope of Services:

ONSH is not a treatment facility and does not provide clinical or crisis services. Residents requiring specialized services will be referred to appropriate community providers.

ONSH is currently in a development and partnership-building phase. Expressions of Interest and partner engagement support capacity planning and initial housing implementation.
